I am getting ready to head to Lisbon, and already have some responsibilities ahead of me.
There is a tutorial workshop on the domain marketplace on Sunday 3/25 that is shaping up to be a great method of learning about the domain aftermarket. I am moderating the second of two afternoon panels, more info and a list of panelists on the ICANN Public Participation site.
Welcome to the Root zone, and godspeed to Telnic on their hard work and perseverence. From what I gather, the whole concept of the .TEL sTLD is fairly revolutionary in what they hope to accomplish, and I hope that the registrar channel will show interest to help their consumers increase the benefit from VOIP and other things that this TLD hopes to enable.
This was a great show that brought together the most impressive groups of domain industry and domain owners. More to follow!
Heading down to Brazil for my umpteenth ICANN meeting. I’ve been asked to moderate a panel on the registrar phenomenon called ‘domain tasting’ on 12/6/06.
Looks like I’ll get to speak at the upcoming DomainFest LA. Here is the posted Schedule.
I’ll get to be on a panel with Bret Fausset and John Berryhill, so this should be a really good experience.
Roger Collins of Afternic and many, many other amazing people will also be there.
